I live in a small town in Ontario, Canada and for the past 15 plus years, I have worked my butt off to create a presence and achieve my goals within the company I work for. My hard work has paid off tremendously in feeling like I am contributing to the company and the clients I work with, however, I felt like I was living day to day with the same expectations and not contributing to my own life. Working day in and day out for someone else.
Then, summer 2022, I started to see posts/videos come across my FB page that caught my eye and I finally discovered this method of making money online that didn't break the bank to get me started.

Affiliate Marketing 101....
What exactly is affiliate marketing?
Affiliate marketing is the process by which an affiliate earns a commission for marketing another person's or company's products or services. The affiliate simply searches for a product they enjoy or are passionate about, then promotes that product and earns a commission from each sale that someone does through their affiliate link.
I equate this to a grocery store or convenience store owner having a contract with companies to sell their products in their stores and they make a commission off each product. The same is to be said for an Affiliate Marketer who starts their own online business and uses a 'brand' or 'niche' as their store to promote other people's/companies products or services and make money from it.
'Brand' being the niche you choose to sell/promote, for example, you want to open a health food store but you don't physically want to open a health food store because the costs associated with that are astronomical, not to mention finding a good location and connecting with vendors to get your supplies, to marketing/advertising, applying for permits/licenses and securing insurance/liability and so on.....so do it online instead and promote your 'Brand' as a health food store, sharing the products of thousands of other companies: from health food delivery companies, supplements, diets, recipes, exercise equipment and the list goes on, all without having to do any of the aforementioned things needed to open a physical business.
And your brand can be anything that you relate to. Are you in to dogs and everything about dogs? Then promote your 'brand' related to dogs, promoting dog food, toys, bedding, collars etc. Are you into redecorating and restoring things? Then you can promote different hardware companies, different tools or paints, fabrics, furniture companies etc. Are you into gardening or cooking/recipes? Then you can create a blog or video blog sharing your passion and add links from advertisers wanting space on your page. The possibilities are absolutely endless!
You don't have to worry about developing products, sales, packaging, shipping, returns, complaints etc. All you have to do is send potential customers to the companies they're already searching for, through your affiliate links and the company does the rest!
